3 arrested in connection with shooting of father, son

Police have arrested three people in connection with a shooting outside a North Providence convenience store Sunday night that left a 46-year-old man dead and his adult son severely injured.
19-year-old Ernest Keosouphanh has been charged with first degree murder, along with several other felonies, in connection to the shooting. Police say he was out on bail on a gun charge at the time of the incident.
Also arrested were 23-year-old Brandyn Pavao, who’s charged with murder, and 18-year-old Davante Neves.
According to police the incident stemmed from a verbal argument involving Pavao and Hernan Avila III.
Avila III was shot and critically injured, and his father, Hernan Avila, Jr., was shot and killed after he jumped in to try to save his son.
Police say that surveillance video and witness statements lead to the arrest of three men, whose charges are as follows:

o Felony Assault with Intent to Commit Murder
o Conspiracy to Commit Murder
o Conspiracy to Commit Felony Assault with the Intent to Commit Murder

o Possession of an Altered Firearm, 9mm handgun
Brandyn Pavao, 23
o Charged with 1st Degree Murder
o Felony Assault with Intent to Commit Murder
o 2 counts of Conspiracy to Commit Murder
Davante Neves, 18
o Charged with Conspiracy to Commit Felony Assault upon Hernan Avila, II
