WOONSOCKET, R.I. (AP) – Police and the FBI are searching for two men after a customer was shot and killed outside a Rhode Island bank.
Police say the victim, a 49-year-old man, was shot several times as he approached the Citizens Bank branch in Woonsocket late Monday morning.
Employees at a nearby gas station said the man worked there as a manager and had gone to the bank to deposit receipts. The victim's name has not been not released.
Authorities said they were looking for a white box truck and two “persons of interest,” both described by witnesses as white men, one possibly in his 20s and the other in his 30s.
Investigators said money was taken but they wouldn't say how much.
