Police investigating stolen car found ablaze in Scituate

SCITUATE, R.I. (WLNE) — A stolen car was found on fire at a park in Scituate on Wednesday morning.

The Scituate Police Department said the car was stolen out of Dayville, Conn. and found ablaze in the parking lot of Tasca Field in Scituate.

The fire took about 45 minutes to extinguish, and there is an active arson investigation into the incident, according to officials.

Authorities are still gathering information on any suspects that may have been involved.
