Police investigating weekend stabbing in Somerset

Somerset Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Sunday night sending one person to the hospital.
Police say the stabbing appears to be the result of a drug transaction that began at the Shell gas station on Wilbur Avenue at around 8:30 p.m.
Authorities say the victim, 35-year-old Michael Habib, was pursued by multiple individuals across the street into the Jillian’s Sports Bar parking lot and a fight took place. They say one of the suspects was also injured.
Police are viewing surveillance video and believe they have one suspect identified.
The victims is in stable condition.
Police say Jillian’s Sports Bar was not involved.
