Police looking Cranston armed robbery suspect

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who committed an armed robbery at a Cranston Subway restaurant.

Police say around 9:00 p.m. Monday night a black male went into the Subway on Narragansett Blvd., showed the clerk a handgun and left with an undetermined amount of cash from the register.

The suspect fled on foot westbound on Montgomery Avenue. He is described as having a slim build, approximately 5’5”-5’9”, wearing a winter hat, mask, blue jeans, dark color jacket, and dark color backpack.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the crime or could provide additional information contact Detective John Ryan at (401) 477-5066.
