Police make stolen car arrest after Flock camera alert in East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Police in East Providence said they took a suspect into custody late last night after they received an alert from one of their Flock cameras.

According to officials, patrol officers were able to recover a stolen vehicle and take the operator of the car into custody. 

“These invaluable tools notify us immediately when something suspicious enters our city, allowing us to act swiftly to keep East Providence safe,” East Providence Police Department said in a post on Facebook.

“Even in snowy conditions, our officers and technology work tirelessly to serve and protect,” they said.
