Police: Man arrested for alleged DUI crashed into utility truck

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — A Cumberland man is accused of crashing into a utility truck while driving drunk, according to South Kingstown police.

Aidan Ocampo, 22, allegedly struck the truck on Monday at approximately 3:13 a.m. on Bridgetown Road.

Arriving officers say that they could smell alcohol and that an empty alcohol bottle was found inside Ocampo’s vehicle.

Police also say that Ocampo refused to submit to a field sobriety test but agreed to a breath test, which resulted in BAC levels of .112 and .106.

Ocampo was arrested and charged with DUI of Liquor – First Offense.
