Police: Man found unconscious off highway, doesn’t remember what happened to him

By News Staff
East Providence Police are asking for help to find out what happened to a man who was found unconscious off 195 last month.
Police say they responded to a disturbance reported off exit 5 of 195 East near the intersection of Warren Ave. just after midnight on August 7. There, they found a man in his late 30’s lying unconscious on the ground behind his truck.
The man has no memory of the incident.
He did have a head injury when officers found him, but they are unsure if it was from some type of assault or if the man had somehow fallen and hit his head. He was sent to the hospital but released the following day.
Witnesses near the Comedy Connection say they saw another involved person leave the scene in a dark-colored Toyota Scion XB or Kia Soul type of vehicle. They say the person was a white male with a backwards white baseball hat and there was a female in the car with him.
Anyone with information is asked to call East Providence Detective Matt McNulty at 401-435-7600 ext. 20031.
