FBI in Westport for ‘federal investigation’ at 2 Hells Angels clubhouses
WESTPORT, Mass. (WLNE) — Police raided two Hells Angels clubhouses in Westport Thursday morning.
Massachusetts State Police, Westport police, and the FBI responded at about 8 a.m. to the clubs on the American Legion Highway.
“We are assisting our federal law enforcement partners in furtherance of an ongoing criminal investigation,” said state police.
FBI spokesperson Kristen Setera said they are conducting court authorized activity. No further information was immediately released.
ABC 6 News crews at the scene witnessed officers with bullet proof vests and holding rifles. Police were also seen walking in and out of the clubhouse.
This comes after a shooting between the Hells Angels, and their rivals, the Pagans Mortocycle Club in Pawtucket earlier this month. There was also a street brawl merlee in Fall River, where multiple people were taken to the hospital in May.
The FBI are also on scene at a Hells Angels clubhouse on Lafayette Street in Lynn.
This is a developing story, more information will be updated once it becomes available.
