Victim in North Attleboro homicide identified by District Attorney’s office

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) – The victim in Wednesday’s homicide investigation has been identified by the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.

The victim can now be publicly identified as 38-year-old North Attleboro resident, Peter C. Shifone.

North Attleboro police responded to High St. around 4:01 p.m. for a reported shooting incident.

Shifone was found in an apartment building with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
