Police provide update in Fairhaven shooting

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fairhaven Police Department provided an update in their investigation of a shooting that happened on Main Street and Harding Road in Fairhaven Sunday night.

Police told ABC 6 News that the shooting victim is not cooperating in the investigation. A spokesperson for Fairhaven police described the case now as somewhat of an ‘uphill battle.’

According to officials, one person was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and three others were detained for questioning after the shooting occurred. It was not immediately released if any of those detained were ever charged.

The shooting happened during the weekend-long ‘Our Lady of Angels’ Feast, celebrating Portuguese culture.
