Police respond to apparent crash in Smithfield

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — Officials were on scene of an apparent crash that happened after the town’s fireworks in Deerfield Park.

It happened just after 11 p.m. at the intersection of Laurel Hill Drive and Pleasant View Avenue in Smithfield.

Town officials asked people leaving the event to follow police instructions during the emergency through a different exit from the park.
