Police response in Providence neighborhood ends with no arrests

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police locked down a neighborhood for hours on Monday afternoon.
Police said they were searching for a murder suspect in connection to a deadly shooting over the weekend at a house on Hudson Street.
An ABC 6 News crew saw police and fire personnel as well as Rhode Island State Police surround the home. At one point, they asked the suspect to come out using a megaphone.
After closing the road for hours, authorities entered the home and saw no sign of 19-year-old Kevin Giron.
Giron was named as the initial person of interest following the shooting death of 19-year-old Juan Carlos Morales on Saturday night.
Police said Giron is wanted for murder. He may also face additional charges.
Giron is considered armed and dangerous, as the weapon used in the deadly shooting has not been found by police.
Authorities said Giron has a previous criminal history.
Those who may know where Giron is can contact detectives Alicia Hersperger or Joseph Nezier at 401-243-6406.
