Police say a teenage girl is injured after being hit by car

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford police say a teenage girl has serious injuries after being hit by a car Monday night.

Around 5:45 p.m., police responded to an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Hathaway Road.

New Bedford Asst. Deputy Chief Scott Carola said the girl is stable but sustained “serious injuries.”

ABC 6 News crew on scene saw a police cruiser blocking off the street.

The crash is under investigation at this time.
