Police say missing North Kingstown woman found safe

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The North Kingstown Police Department said a missing woman was found safe.

Julia McKay was reported missing on Oct. 22 around 9:20pm. 

Police received a call from McKay’s husband, who explained his concern for his missing wife.

The department said it also got a tip that McKay was last seen on Cold Spring Lane, where she asked a resident for water and a flashlight around 6:40 p.m.

McKay was found by search crews Wednesday afternoon.

Police added McKay was not harmed and they thanked local canine search teams and firefighters for the help.
