Police search for hit and run suspect in Providence

Police are searching for a suspect in Providence after she fled the scene of a motor vehicle accident Wednesday night.

The two-car crash happened around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Orms Street. Police say a female driver struck another vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The operator of the other vehicle was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with neck and back pain.

The suspect faces the charge of leaving the scene of an accident with injury.
