NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI – North Providence Police are asking for your help in searching for 19-year-old Davon Silva.

Police say that Silva was outside Sam’s Food Market this past May, where he fatally shot 46-year-old Hernan Avila Jr. and severely wounded his 23-year-old son by shooting him eight times. There have already been multiple arrests.

“My husband fought to the very end of his last breath. He fought against a gun,” said the victim’s wife, Georgette Avila. "I want them to catch everyone that’s involved. Everyone that’s involved."

Silva is believed to be about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall.

Police advise Silva is wanted for conspiracy to commit felony assault and to contact North Providence Police with any information.
