Police searching for breaking and entering suspect

WOONSOCKET, R.I (WLNE) – Police are searching for a suspect involved in the breaking and entering, and theft of a register at a local Woonsocket business on Saturday. 

Police say the incident happened at BuyCellFix on Main Street. 

The incident was originally reported as vandalism after the store’s front window appeared to have been broken up. 

Police say the store owner boarded up the window.

The owner noticed the register had gone missing and reported it to the police around 7:00 pm. 

According to police, after viewing the store surveillance footage, the break-in occurred between 12:00 A.M – 12:30 A.M. 

The suspect is described as a taller, thin, white male, wearing a hoodie. 

Woonsocket police say the case is still under investigation at this time.
