Police searching for person accused of ordering woman to get on her knees at RIC concession stand
NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island College Campus Police and North Providence police are searching for a man who allegedly locked himself in a concession stand with a woman and ordered her to get on her knees on Monday.
RIC Director of Communications and Public Relations John Taraborelli confirmed reports that a man had entered the concession stand at the school’s baseball field in North Providence, locked the door, and told a female employee to get on her knees. The man then fled the scene, campus police said.
Taraborelli said the man is still at large, and the two police departments are actively searching for the suspect.
In the meantime, there is an increased police presence on campus and patrols are “maintaining heightened vigilance across campus,” Taraborelli said.
