Police searching for suspect in Cranston attempted robbery
CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – Police are searching for a suspect after reports of an attempted robbery in Cranston just before the New Year.
Cranston Police say they received a complaint on Dec. 31 regarding an attempted robbery and assault on Reservoir Avenue.
Officials allege the suspect used a hammer to assault the victim before fleeing the scene.
The suspect is described to be about 60 years old and possibly homeless.
