Police seek help to find hit and run driver

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence Police are seeking help from the public to identify the suspect and vehicle involved in a pedestrian struck incident in August.

Police say on August 28, 2016 at approximately 6:04p.m., officers responded to a call for a pedestrian that got struck in front of Baez Market, 454 Public Street. 

According to surveillance video, a Range Rover was reversing on Public Street towards Broad Street when the vehicle collided with a female subject, later identified as Suzette Orazi, age 61.

Orazi fell backwards and struck her head on the pavement as a result of the collision.

Orazi was transported to RI Hospital and suffered serious injuries.

Police believe the vehicle may have been tan or white in color, and possibly fled on Public Street towards Gordon Avenue.

This incident is still under investigation and police urge anyone with information on the subject or vehicle in the attached video and photos to please call the Providence Police Traffic Bureau (401) 243-6279.
