Police seek public assistance in fatal Dartmouth crash

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — Dartmouth police are asking for public assistance in the investigation of a fatal crash that occurred Friday.

The accident happened on Gulf Road at the intersection of Smith Neck Road at around 10:30 p.m.

The vehicle was occupied by 18-year-old Jacob Pothier, who was pronounced deceased at a local hospital, and 44-year-old Kathleen Martins who sustained life-threatening injuries and is in guarded condition.

Police are seeking any witnesses to the vehicle, a white 2022 Honda Accord, operating in or around the town landing on the west side of the Padanaram Bridge.
