Police seek those responsible for memorial larcenies

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Providence Police are seeking the assistance of the public to help identify the suspect or suspects responsible for recent larcenies at a local memorial.
Police said two plaques attached to the Rhode Island Irish Famine Memorial, located at 100 Dyer Street, were reported stolen in late August.
The first plaque was reported stolen on August 28th, and Police believe it was taken between August 12th and August 16th.
The second plaque was reported stolen several days later, on August 30th.
