Police shut down ‘The Conjuring’ house, as business continues to operate without license

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) — After The Conjuring House was issued a stop-worker order from The Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training, and did not have their business license renewed, police showed up to stop business operations this past weekend as customers continued to show up for tours.
According to Colonel Stephen Lynch, The Burrillville Police Department responded to The Conjuring House, and cited the general manager with operating a business without a license.
Owner of the home and business Bale Fire LLC, Jaqueline Nunez, was arrested back in October for a DUI, evading an officer, and refusing to submit to a chemical test.
Her next court date is Dec. 17.
Lynch said Nunez was not at the home, but they did leave a citation for her at the house and mailed it to her residence.
He said as a result of the citation issued on Friday, the same general manager and staff were turning customers away on Saturday.
Sunday was seen to have no activity at all, according to Lynch.
