Police respond to fatal shooting in Pawtucket

PAWTCUKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman that occurred Friday night.

Police tapped off Central Avenue after what they said was believed to be a “domestic incident” that resulted in the death of a woman they believe worked at a nearby salon.

Police added that there is no subject in custody but that there is no threat to the public.

The woman has not yet been identified.

ABC 6 News crews on scene saw a large police presence including multiple police vehicles and an ambulance.
