Politicians to celebrate food pantry expansion

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE)– The North Kingstown Food Pantry is celebrating a significant expansion on Friday afternoon alongside both of Rhode Island’s senators and Congressman Seth Magaziner.

The expansion, as well as a renovation of the current pantry, will give the pantry a walk-in fridge and freezer, a space for cooking demonstrations and double the storage that they previously had.

In total, the expansion will cost $2.1 million.

The expansion’s groundbreaking will take place at 2 p.m.
