CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A portion of Route 2 in Cranston was closed on Thursday morning due to a 7-foot hole caused by a water main break, according to police.

Chief of Police Bradford Connor said his team would be assisting with diverting traffic.

He said the road would be closed for a few hours.
