Portsmouth Animal Control searches for coyote after dog attack

Animal Control in Portsmouth is asking residents to be on the look out for any coyotes acting abnormally after one attacked a dog Monday.
Police say the large breed dog sustained a large bite wound during the attack but was able to escape. The attack was witnessed by the owner.
The Animal Control Officer is requesting that the public report any coyotes acting abnormally in the area to dispatch at 401-683-0300 or you can reach the A.C.O. directly at 401-643-0136.
