Portsmouth police investigating serious motorcycle crash

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WLNE) — The Portsmouth Police Department said they are currently investigating a serious motorcycle crash.

According to Chief Michael Morse, the crash happened yesterday afternoon on Park Avenue in the area of Gould Avenue.

The crash involved one motorcycle and a parked vehicle, according to Morse.

Police said the operator is currently being treated for significant injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
