Power outage hits Providence traffic, street lights

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Traffic and street lights were out in part of Providence for a few hours early Friday morning.
The lights — including the city’s snowflakes for the holiday season — were out on Orms, Charles, and Randall Streets.
Rhode Island Energy reported a few dozen customers were without power in the area around 4 a.m.
The Department of Transportation said the outage affected the signals.
The lights came back on around 8 a.m.
