The Providence Performing Arts Center announced the lineup for its 38th Broadway season Tuesday morning, complete with a little groove.

Motown the Musical is just one of the highlights of the 2015-2016 season, which kicks off in September with the national tour of BEAUTIFUL The Carole King Musical.

The season is made up of a mix of some shows back by popular demand like The Book of Mormon and Jersey Boys, and musical classics like Annie and The Sound of Music.

And for the holidays, it’ll be A White Christmas.

PPAC says this season offers something for everyone, right in their own backyard.

Cindy Laughlin says, “A lot of different shows and a lot of the old standbys for those people who might not have seen some of Annie coming back.  The one feeling I have is that by coming to Providence people are getting the best theater at reasonable prices.”

The new season will also feature Disney’s Newsies, Pippin, Ragetime, Bullets Over Broadway, Cabaret and If/Then.

Tickets for Beautiful The Carole King Musical hit the box office this Thursday.
