Precautionary flood watch issued for Rhode Island rivers

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A precautionary flood watch has been issued for all of Rhode Island, except for Block Island, Thursday night through Saturday.
Flash flooding is unlikely with the rain coming in, as the state is only expecting around one inch during that timeframe.
The National Weather Service is issuing the watch for minor flooding of the Pawtuxet River, specifically in the Cranston and Warwick area.
