President Biden urging states to give $100 to newly vaccinated individuals
It is unclear at this point if Rhode Island will offer these incentives.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Biden administration is now encouraging local and state governments to offer $100 to newly vaccinated people- to try and boost nationwide vaccination rates as the delta variant continues to spread across the country.
The Biden administration says the money would come from funds provided by the coronavirus relief package.
ABC6 has reached out to Governor Dan McKee’s office to see if this incentive will soon come to Rhode Island. A spokesperson says the administration will not have a comment on this matter on Thursday.
Data from the CDC shows more than 161 million people in the United States have been fully vaccinated, over 656,000 in Rhode Island.
Starting Friday, New York City will give $100 in cash to newly vaccinated residents- amid a surge of cases throughout the city. About 55% of NYC residents have been fully vaccinated.
