Tensions ran high during the Aaron Hernandez trial on Friday when lead prosecutor in the case fought the judge’s decision not to allow Odin Lloyd’s sister to be questioned about text messages sent minutes before he was murdered.
In those messages Lloyd told his sister he was with NFL.
After much back and forth Judge Susan Garsh responded to Prosecutor William McCauley saying, “I have made a ruling. My ruling stands!”
McCauley chose not to call Lloyd’s sister to the stand on Friday.
In terms of testimony, jurors heard from a Mass State Trooper and Lloyd’s Dorchester neighbor.
The jury got a look at some grainy surveillance video taken from that neighbor’s home the night that Lloyd was murdered. It shows him getting into Hernandez’s rental car around 2:30 am about an hour before he was killed.
Testimony in the case is set to resume on Monday.
