Teen stabbed in Providence early Sunday morning

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Around 1 a.m. Sunday morning police responded to a stabbing on Berlin Street in Providence.

 

A 16-year-old teenage boy said that he was out with a group of friends on Academy Avenue and Andem Street when he was assaulted by multiple individuals. 

 

Police said that the teen refused medical treatment and did not want to press charges.

 

The injuries that the teen suffered were not consistent with stabbing wounds, according to police.

 

Police also noted that they received calls about shots fired in that area earlier that night.
