Providence Board of Licenses to meet over status of night club after Sunday incident
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Board of Licenses is scheduled to meet Thursday to discuss the emergency closure of a night club in the Capital City.
Motion Night Club on Broad Street was forced to close for 72 hours after seven people were arrested early Sunday morning.
Board chairman Dylan Conley said a crowd of around 500 people gathered at the club, requiring more than twenty police officers to respond.
This came not long after other popular late night venues in the city had their run-ins with the law, including Mezzo Lounge and Saje Kitchen.
