PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Board of Licenses will vote on issuing a 72-hour emergency closure of the Desire Gentlemen’s Club on Franklin Square after a brawl Saturday left one person stabbed.

The incident at the gentleman’s club involved the Hells Angels and resulted in one person being taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Providence Police Major David Lapatin said that after reviewing security footage the club was allowed to open Sunday.

The emergency closure order said that the “business may be open upon approval of command staff if there is no longer a public safety threat.”

“They are allowed to open as usual [on Monday],” Lapatin said. “They will be given another date to appear before the [Board of Licenses] in regards to this incident.”

He added that 33-year-old William Ingram-Hughes was arrested after the altercation and charged with disorderly conduct.
