Providence City Clerk reinstated to job after human resources investigation

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Providence City Clerk Shawn Selleck was reinstated to his job Tuesday, according to a spokesperson from the Mayor’s Office.
His reinstatement comes after a human resources investigation that began at the end of June. It is unclear at this time what the investigation was about.
“The Human Resources department concluded their investigation. I can confirm his administrative leave has been rescinded and he has been reinstated as City Clerk,” said Theresa Agonia, Chief of External Affairs for Mayor Elorza. She said could not comment further.
