Providence City Council votes in favor of $125M grant towards public schools

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence City Council gave first passage to put the $125 million school bond on Novembers ballot.

The $125 million grant proposal was passed 13-0.

A second passage is needed to finalize the proposal.

Ultimately it will be up to the voters to pass the $125 million towards city schools.
