Flow nightclub in Providence closed temporarily for 72 hours during an emergency board of licenses meeting, after multiple victims were stabbed after an fight.
"The officer that did the report and responded to the scene states in the report that he observes a large disturbance on Cranston Street directly from the nightclub. He also says later Ron he learns from one of the victims that the physical altercation started in the parking lot," says Sgt. David Tejada of Providence police.
One neighbor says he saw the whole thing unfold.
"I came over to the window and there was a huge crowd of people over here with a scuffle going on and somebody kept screaming he stabbing him he stabbing him," says neighbor Joe Sorel.
Joe Sorel has lived in an apartment next to flow since October. He says noise from the club is disruptive and nothing new.
"The nights they are open from 1:30, that’s usually when they let out, to three in the morning. All you can hear are (noises), screaming, yelling and hollering and then car is beeping at each other and traffic gets to the point where they can’t even move," Sorel says.
We went to the home of Yohanna Sanchez, who is listed as manager with the Secretary of State office, but were told she was not home. We got no response at the club either. But Police who went to the scene say they asked staff for surveillance video after the incident, but they declined saying they would have to come back later. Sorel says there needs to be more security in the neighborhood when the club re opens.
"The problem is they need police here when this place closes," Sorel says.
The Board of Licenses will meet again on Thursday when they have more information.
