Providence College Friars to host annual basketball clinic

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence College’s men and women basketball teams will hold a free youth basketball clinic at Corliss Park in Providence today.

The annual youth basketball clinic sponsored by Amica Mutual Insurance welcomes boys entering the 7th grade or younger, and girls entering the 9th grade or younger that are in the Providence Recreational Summer Program.

Over 200 kids have participated in the annual program in the past.

Throughout the clinic, participants are directed through a series of drills and games to teach basketball fundamentals.

The clinic will run from 10 a.m. this morning until noon.
