Providence Country Day School cutting tuition by more than 35 percent

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Providence Country Day School is looking to make private education more affordable for families.
The school announced Thursday it is launching a new plan called “The Quest.” The new plan involves cutting its annual tuition by more than 35 percent.
Beginning next year, high school tuition will drop from $39 thousand to $25 thousand. Middle school tuition will go from $34 thousand to $22 thousand.
Current families who already pay less than these new tuition rates will remain under the school’s financial aid program.
Continuing to demonstrate a forward-thinking approach, the school is shifting its educational landscape by launching PCD Online Academy. The virtual academy provides an innovative, self-paced program for students from grades 6-12 who live outside PCD’s drawing area, to benefit from the school’s rigorous college preparatory curriculum.
PCD is considered a top-tier top private school in Rhode Island and is a member of National Association of Independent Schools.
