Providence court evacuated due to ‘minor gas leak’

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Judiciary said that the Licht Judicial Complex will be closed for the rest of Thursday due to a “minor gas leak.”

Rhode Island Energy and the Providence Fire Department were investigating the cause of the leak.

All other courts are still open, and the judiciary said it expects the Licht complex to reopen Friday.
