PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Fire Department battled a structure fire on Angell Street Monday morning.

Around 6:30 a.m., crews responded to reports of a fire at the Vedanta Society of Providence.

Upon arrival, crews were able to “quickly” locate the flames, which officials said was partially contained due to the building’s sprinkler system.
