Providence crews work to extinguish church fire

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence Fire Department personnel are working to extinguish a fire a Impact Center Providence Church on Elmwood Ave, according to the Providence Fire Department.

Providence Fire Chief Derek Silva addressed the fire on Twitter just after 11 a.m. Wednesday, urging residents to avoid the area, as the effort to fight the fire is expected to be prolonged.
