Providence emergency services to perform ‘full scale threat exercise’ Monday
PROVIDENCE, R. I. (WLNE) — The Providence Emergency Management Agency alongside Providence police and firefighters will be performing a “full scale active threat exercise” on Monday at Carl G. Lauro School.
Providence Police Chief Public Information Officer Lindsay Lague said emergency response vehicles will be present on Kenyon Street throughout the exercise.
“Providence Public Safety Departments have worked for several months in preparation for this scenario-based exercise, conducted to provide education and training on response to an active threat situation,” she said.
Lague added that the public does not need to take any action during the exercise as it is not a real threat.
