Providence firefighters battle 2 alarm fire

A two alarm fire broke out Saturday afternoon on Nelson Street.

Three firefighters were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

The fire started just after 1 p.m. Officials confirm the residents were able to make it out safely from the two story home.

No immediate word on how the fire started. A tenant who spoke with ABC6 says the fire may have started on the top floor.
