Providence firefighters battle house fire on Hawthorne St.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Fire Department said crews battled a house fire on Hawthorne Street on Tuesday.

According the the department, firefighters discovered flames coming from the second-floor window.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire, and nobody was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
