Providence looking for Waterplace Park tenants

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence city officials are now looking at new vendors at the restaurant space in Waterplace Park downtown.
A city spokesperson says that the city has spoken with “multiple potential vendors” about moving into the space.
The space used to be Skyline at Waterplace, an event space that also served dinners that was evicted last year.
According to the Boston Globe, one possible option for the space is the Matunuck Oyster Bar- the renowned South Kingstown establishment destroyed in a fire last month.
At the moment, talks are in early stages, and there’s no timeline on when a vendor to fill the space would be chosen.
