Providence man allegedly steals Boston Children’s van, leads Massachusetts State Police on pursuit

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A Providence man allegedly stole a Boston Children’s van before leading Massachusetts State Police on a pursuit.

Boston police received reports of the stolen van just after 1 p.m., which was equipped with a GPS that showed the vehicle traveling south on Route 93 heading towards Rhode Island.

State troopers were able to catch up with the van, but the suspect continued to drive heading to West Street. Officers stopped the pursuit for public safety concerns.

The van made a stop at 505 West St., where officers found 32-year-old Andre Biggs hiding under the vehicle.

Police then took Biggs into custody without further incidents.
